ROOFING COMPANY IN

Austin, TX and Surrounding Areas

In many cases a property owner may only become aware of a roof problem once the roof starts leaking and interferes with day to day activities. Scheduling a licensed roof inspection as well as ongoing preventative roof maintenance with a reliable roof repair company before an issue with your commercial or residential roofing system becomes serious, is much more cost effective compared to the bigger expense of a complete roof replacement.

Finding a Reliable
Roofing Contractor
in Austin Texas

There is no state licensing for roofers or general contractors in Texas! Anyone, at any time, can decide that they are now a roofer. Do not become a victim. Avoid these scam artists and protect your family, home, and pocketbook with three easy steps!

An honest, reliable contractor will have no issue giving you this information. How they respond to your asking should tell you all your need to know. You are not being rude by asking.

Find a contractor with a real, local office. One that you can drive to see that it is real, and there is a sign or logoed vehicles. Offices can be faked easily with a ghost office ( a storefront with a mailbox inside).

Get this document up front and then call to ensure it is valid! Keep this on record for two years. Even if the contractor goes out of business, you can make a claim to their insurance if your project was completed when they had an active policy. Also, scammers do not have insurance. They do fake documents, though so please call!

A good contractor or roofer will have customers you can call, pictures you can see, or even videos on their website. Please take the time to call and ask!

Yes. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. Roofers and contractors willing to “pay” your deductible just take the loss by using lower-quality products, so you still pay your deductible. It is wrong and a moral compromise we are not willing to make. If you have a contractor willing to do this, think about all the other compromises they make with your project.

The state of Texas requires that we and you sign a form recognizing that deductible payment is now law. Texas Business & Commerce Code §2702(B); See Texas Insurance Code §707.003. Read our Document here.

Each carrier is different. You can call your agent to ask how this is done, use your insurance carrier portal, or contact the toll-free number on their website. You will need to file a claim under storm or storm-related damage and provide a date when it happened.

Don’t worry! We have a supplementing team to handle that for you.

Under normal circumstances, roof replacement happens in 1-2 days. Many factors go into this process, like how many facets are on your roof—existing wood decking damage or weather. Hot weather can slow our crews; we want them to stay rested and hydrated so they take more breaks in the hot summer months to prevent injury.

A notice of cancelation is required by the state of Texas (depending on the type of sale), and it applies to in-home roofing sales. In fact, contracts can be found null and void if this form is not offered to clients at the time of their contract signing. This allows the signer 3-days to rescind their contract. Rescission can be for any reason or no reason at all, and a contractor may not refuse any method of communication of cancellation (email, phone, text, or letter, but it is best to get it in writing with a timestamp). Maybe you want to do more research, or you found out some new information; this allows you time to back out of our contract with no obligation to the company. Here is a copy of our form.

The most economical shingle is 3 Tab or flat shingles. These are great for a few years but will wear out quickly. Architectural shingles, or dimensional shingles, are the most popular shingle. These come in different levels of impact resistance by many shingle manufacturers. We prefer IKO or GAF.

No, your insurance provider uses Xactimate or Simbiliy. This software tells them how much it costs to replace your roof, piece by piece, down to the nail. We work within the scope of work that insurance provides. If they miss something, we supplement, using the same software they do.

Nope. Once you submit the final invoice with the lesser amount, insurance will keep the difference and say thank you for saving them some money. Insurance never overpays for a project. If you get a lesser bid, you may have compromised your roof.

RCV means the replacement cost value of the roof. Your insurance carrier will start with the replacement cost of the roof, depreciate it for its age, and subtract your deductible. This is the actual cash value of your roof. Once the roof is complete, you can collect your recover depreciation which equals the replacement cost value.

ACV means actual cost value. Your insurance carrier will start with the replacement cost value of the roof, depreciate it for its age, and subtract your deductible. This will be the only amount you can collect for your project.

You bet! We carry a $1M general liability policy and will make that certificate available to any customer who requests it. We also carry workers comp and commercial vehicle insurance.

When an insurance carrier agrees to pay for an insurance claim, they give you a scope of work. Technically, these are the exact instructions for the contractor to follow to replace your roof with the exact same items they are liable for. Sometimes an adjuster can miss an item, or there is something unforeseen. This is why we supplement to ensure they are covering all their liabilities; supplementing is standard practice for any insurance claim. 99% of the claims we handle have a supplement associated with them. Don’t worry! We have a team that takes care of this for you.
